Alberta Galligan

Alberta (Chickie)Galligan of Jensen Beach Florida, Formerly of Cold Spring passed away suddenly on September 11, 2017 in Stuart Florida.  She was 80.

Born on December 11, 1936 in Cold Spring to the late Albert and Elizabeth Bleakley Jesek

Chickie graduated from Haldane in 1955 and was Miss Beacon prior to her marriage to Robert Galligan on April 19, 1958 at Our Lady of Loretto Church.

Chickie was retired from Butterfield Hospital where she was a secretary for many years.

In 1988 Robert and Alberta retired to Florida.

Chickie is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years Robert, Loving Children Cathy Valenti and her husband John, and Glenn Galligan and his wife Jennifer, Cherished grandchildren John Valenti Jr and his wife Heather, Jessica Valenti, Kaitlyn Galligan and Ryan Galligan.  Loving Great Grand Son John Valenti III.  Her dear brother John Jesek and his wife Judy, Her Dear Sister in Law Dorothy Galligan Kuenzler and her late husband Walter , Nephews John Jesek and his wife Mindy and Thomas Kuenzler , Nieces Elizabeth Barcavage and her husband Dennis, and Heidi Smith and her husband Tim along with grand nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Saturday September 30, 2017 from 9:30-10am at Clinton Funeral Home, 21 Parrott Street, Cold Spring.  A Funeral Service will be held at 10am at the funeral home with interment to follow in Cold Spring Cemetery.
