Ann Sterling Beddingfield a resident of Garrison,NY passed away suddenly on March 20, 2020. She was 75.
Ann was born on June 24,1944 to Woodrow and Eunice Beddingfield in Black Mountain NC.
She is survived by one sister,Jody Floyd, two nieces and a nephew as well as 3 great nephews.
She had a sister Linda B. Foell and a brother, Woody Beddingfield that preceded her in death.
Ann graduated valedictorian from Owen High School in a Black Mountain. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley,MA and University of NC School of Law.
She had various jobs as an attorney but what Ann will always be remembered for is her quick wit, her love of life, and her sense of humor.
A Statement from family and friends read “Ann possessed a natural curiosity that led her to many adventures, outdoors, intellectual and otherwise.” She loved nature, including bird watching, photography of nature and was always ready to embrace the outdoors whether biking, kayaking and hiking or visits to a garden or a wolf preserve.
Rain or other elements never seemed to get in the way of her explorations and adventures.
Ann will be remembered as extraordinary Renaissance person, an incredible storyteller, a fearless adventurer and a wonderful friend and neighbor. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In Lieu of flowers please make donations to an animal rescue league of your choice since Ann loved animals especially dogs. She always had dog treats in her car to feed the dogs that passed.
A Memorial Service will be planned at a later date due to the current health crisis.
