Elizabeth Mary Hynes of Cold Spring passed away peacefully on January 6, 2018 at Emerald Peek in Peekskill surrounded by her loving family. She was 85
Born on March 9, 1932 in Brooklyn to the late Stephen O’Kunski and May Carney. On May 21, 1957 in St. Francis of Assisi Church in Long Island City She married Thomas Hynes.
Elizabeth was a member of the Catholic Daughters County Rita 789, the District Deputy for the Catholic Daughters a 25 year member for the Architectural Review Board for the Village of Cold Spring and a 25 year member of the Philipstown Republican Committee.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years Thomas Hynes, Loving Son Timothy Hynes and his wife Lynn. Cherished grandchildren Maureen Roush and her husband Arthur and Elizabeth Hynes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday February5, 2018 at 10am at Our Lady of Loretto Church, Fair Street, Cold Spring. Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery.
