Frederick W. Isler passed away peacefully at home on January 29 2025.

Born to Otto and Florence Isler on June 29, 1939, in Yonkers, New York. Fred loved animals and trains as a kid, but above all, his Catherine, who he fell in love with at the age of 13. He joined the Marines and eventually, Catherine stole him away. They married in 1961 and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary before Catherine passed away. Fred loved his family more than anything, remained humble his entire life, and spent as much time as possible with his grandchildren.

Fred worked at RCA, General Electric and retired from Metro North Railroad. He loved to fix old radios, gardening, and loved to watch the wildlife around him, even when they ate all of his efforts!

Fred joins the love of his life, Catherine, in heaven, along with his first born child, Lori, His brother Otto, brother-in-law, and Buddy, Bill, as well as many other family and friends.

Fred leaves behind many who will desperately miss him. His children Jeanne Isler Maletz (son-in-law Oliver) and Fred Jr., his four grandsons Freddy III, Derick, Brett and Cooper, his sisters-in-law Alyce, Dotty and Pattie and brother-in-law Tom and many friends and fellow Marines.

He lived his last years at home with his loving caregivers Bheki and Nana.

Funeral Arrangements are private for the family on Friday January 31, 2025 at Kensico Cemetery where Fred will be buried alongside his wife Catherine and daughter Lori.
