Italia Iaconangelo

Italia Iaconangelo of Cold Spring passed away on Christmas Day at home. She was 82. Born on November 23, 1934 in Naples Italy to the late Salvatore Demata and Leonilda Vitale . Italia was the co-owner of Armando’s Delicatessen in Cold Spring for 10 years and a cook at Sorrento’s Restaurant in Peekskill.
On June 21, 1964 in Naples Italy she married Armando Iaconangelo. Together they spent the next 52 years as husband and wife raising their family in Cold Spring. Italia is survived by her devoted husband Armando, loving children Marilena Serradas, her husband Airinhos, Leonilda Bara, her husband Michael, Fiorenzo Iaconangelo, his wife Loree and Anna Smith and her husband Donald.
Loving Brothers include Oresto Demata, his wife Assunta and Angelo Demata. Loving sisters include Rita Demata and her husband Salvatore, Maria Mele and her husband Luigi. Cherished grandchildren Maggie, Victoria, Elizabeth, Laura, Alex, Michelle, Cameron, and Isabella. Italia also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 28, 2016 from 5-8pm at Clinton Funeral Home, Cold Spring. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday December 29, 2016 at 10am at Our Lady of Loretto Church, Cold Spring. Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery.
