J. Michelle Filippelli

Michelle Filippelli of 118 Pinebrook Drive Hyde Park. New York died on February 20, 2024 after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, her infant daughter, Claudia Marie and her beloved brother, Norbert Horn. Michelle was born in Staten Island, New York, on September 9, 1938 to Fred and Adele Horn. She excelled in school earning high honors, including a full scholarship to the Queens Hospital Center School of Nursing. She wasn't all brains but beauty as well and she was proud of being chosen as Miss Company A the first military ball of the 251st infantry National Guard in 1959. Nana as she was known is survived by her children, Cristine Smith of Castleton, VT her husband, Howard, and children, Mika and Jaxon, Keith Filippelli, of Belchertown MA , his wife, Shannon, and their children, Jack and Grace, Mark Filippelli of Lagrange, NY and her sister, Claire of Garrison, and three nieces and nephew. The funeral service will be on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 10 AM at our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Cold Spring, New York. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Clinton Funeral Home- Cold Spring.
