James J. DeGelormo passed away peacefully May 9, 2023 in Sanford, Florida. He was 94.
Born in Cold Spring, New York on July 6, 1928 to the late Gabriel and Helen (D'Anastasio)
James married Mary Ellen Bradley on February 14, 1950.
James worked for Metro North Railroad for 41 years as an engineer. He also belonged and helped establish the North Highland Fire Co.
James is survived by his daughters Yolanda Vitek and Cindy Mora and 6 grand children: Michelle D'Agostino, Jennifer D'Agostino, Ryan Vitek and Brittany Vitek and Gabriel Mora and Marcello Mora and also 5 great grand children Katelyn Vitro, Ryder Vitro, Avery Feroe, Hayden Vitek and Ethan Vitek and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife Mary and by his parents Gabriel and Helen.
Also his brothers Anthony De Gelormo, Raymond De Gelormo, Joseph De Gelormo and sisters Yolanda (Fillippis) Mary (Forcone) and Julia (Amato)
Visitation will be help on Tuesday May 16, 2023 from 5-8pm at Clinton Funeral 21 Parrott Street, Cold Spring. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday May 17, 2023 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Loretto Church, Cold Spring. Burial to follow at the Cold Spring Cemetery.
