James J. Gallagher

James J. Gallagher Sr. of Cold Spring passed away peacefully on August 2, 2022, at home.  He was 86.

 

Born on November 17, 1935, in New York City to the late James and Agnes Sullivan Gallagher.  Jim received an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Fordham University, earned his CPA, and went on to graduate with an MBA from The Harvard Business School.  He was a Manager for Lucent Technologies/Nokia for many years prior to his retirement. 

 

He is survived by his long-time partner, Josephine A. Caulfield, his children Joan M. Gallagher, Nancy M. Gallagher, Gavin L. Gallagher, James J. Gallagher Jr, Graham R. Gallagher, Devin S. Gallagher, and Wade C. Gallagher.  He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.  He is predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Ellen (nee Lloyd), brother Kevin and daughter Sharon who died in infancy.

 

Funeral Services will be private under the direction of Clinton Funeral Home-Cold Spring.
