Lois Sutton

Lois M. Sutton of Cold Spring passed away on March 18, 2018 at Sharon Health Care, Sharon, Ct.  She was 85.

Born on January 15, 1933 in Cold Spring to the late George and Carla Drendge Tierney.

In 1954 Lois married the love of her life Arthur J. Sutton.  Together they spent 54 years of marriage.  Arthur passed away in 2008.

Lois was a Eucharistic Minister and a former trustee of Our Lady of Loretto Church, a member of the Putnam County Historical Society and a past member of the Highlands Garden Club.  She was active in Boujicans Art Gallery and a member of the Ladies Golf League.

She is survived by her children Arthur J. Sutton Jr. and his wife Susan of Hopewell Junction and David J. Sutton of Poughkeepsie.  Grandchildren Karla Anderson and her husband Scott, and AJ Sutton III and his fiancé Janine Gallois.  One Great Granddaughter Penelope Anderson and her Sister Claire Costello .
She was predeceased by her husband Arthur J. Sutton in 2008, her son in law Michael Hennessey and her brother George Tierney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday March 22, 2018 at 10am at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair Street, Cold Spring, Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers please make donations in Lois Name to  Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair Street, Cold Spring, NY 10516.
