McHale Francis Clark, 21, of Plattsburgh, died Monday, December 23, 2024, at home. 


McHale was born in Plattsburgh on June 13, 2003, to Monica Spampata and John Clark. 


He grew up in Washingtonville, New York, before moving to Plattsburgh and graduating from Plattsburgh High School in 2021. 


McHale loved being around people and that translated to his work in the food service industry, where he could connect with the community every day. McHale’s love of life was evident to all who knew him. From his infectious smile to his whimsical outlook and boundless wit, any conversation with him was a delight. Wise beyond his years, McHale knew the world had lots to offer and had dreams of traveling and seeing it all. 


Remembering McHale are his mother Monica Spampata and her partner Ian Maski; his father, John Clark; his brothers, Cyrus and Jack; his aunts, Marguerite (Joseph) Congelosi, Nancy (Bruce) Monette, and Deidre McGinty; his grandmother, Ann Butts, and a great many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 


A beloved son, brother, and friend, memorial services will be held in McHale’s honor in his hometown, Washingtonville, New York. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday January 3, 2025 at 10:00am at Church of St. John the Evangelist, 71 Murray Avenue , Goshen, NY 10924. 


To honor McHale’s generous spirit, his family requests that those remembering him do something kind for a stranger, just as McHale would.
