John Spada 74 of Garrison New York husband of Marguerite Spada , passed away on January 24,2017.
Born in Mt. Vernon New York on February 18,1942 he was the son of the late John and Mary (Paterno) Spada.
John graduated from Iona College in 1964. John was employed by Consolidated Edison in 1964 as part of their management trainee program. He retired in 2000 after 38 years of service. Following his retirement John became a substitute teacher for the Garrison School district.
John became a fully qualified fireman for the Garrison Volunteer Fire Department in 1997.
John and Marguerite were longtime parishioners of Our Lady of Loretta Church attending mass at St. Joseph’s chapel in Garrison.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, John C. Spada and Natalie Spada-Martinez, two grandchildren Victor & Emma Martinez as well as his sister Marianne and her husband Nick Tallerico and his brother Charles and his wife Jeanette Spada and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday January 28, 2017 from 4-7pm at Clinton Funeral home, 21 Parrott Street, Cold Spring NY.
Mass will be held on Saturday January 28, 2017 at 10am at the church of Saint Augustine, 381 North Highland Avenue Ossining NY.
